Hi Jimmy, as I am in New Zealand I will sadly not be able to make the San
Francisco meetup, never mind, mabey in the future.
While starting to develop the sections on New Zealand politics I did
plenty of research looking for templates, ideas, layouts etc...
What I discovered is that there is no homogolous layout to how the areas
are coming along to speak of... I was thinking something simple like:
Country
Election Type
Area (electorate)
Town
Party
Candidate
Splitting out like a tree would be best, then under candidate you could
link to policy, discussion areas, etc...
I am trying to be mindful of the fact that every country has different
electoral systems and different elections at different times and you
really still want it easy enough to find what you want. Some stuff like
party policy will obviously appear above the candidate level, and so will
local area discussion and info pages. For an additional tree design to
help with othjer ways of moving through the data you could have:
Country
Party
Candidate/Area
Forgive me if I am way off of the mark as I am new to Wiki Editing
By the way, brilliant project concept, I have wanted to do something
similar for ages but to have a name like yours lead this will catalyse
some real change.
