Hi everyone,

We've had quite a few new people subscribe to the list in the last few
weeks, and I thought I would post a quick status report. We have 809
people subscribed to this list currently. That's absolutely amazing,
btw.

We now have sites in 11 languages: Chinese, English, Spanish, Arabic,
Portuguese, Japanese, French, German, Italian, Polish, Hungarian. I
just took a look at the languages other than English, and the only one
that is really active is Japanese. I can type 'please' and 'thank
you' in a few of them, and there are automatic translators that at
least translate word by word, but more than that I'm afraid I can't
do. But I'd like to find a way to encourage participation in those
languages as well.

Hopefully, we'll be done with the policy vote distractions within the
next few weeks. I had no idea that it would take this long to get
through everyone's ideas, and I'm sure that more ideas will continue
to be posted. That's ok, but I think we have a good enough foundation
for now.

I've just updated the Electoral Calendar to show that all the
elections we have listed in 2006 are now over, and it's time to focus
on 2007. For the national elections, we can also start working on the
2008 elections as well. Please contact me directly if you would like
suggestions or if you have any questions.
