[Campaigns-l] A Yuletide Missive from the Constitutionalist Candidate for 2008

Merriest of Seasonal Greatings to all.

First of all i want to assure one and all that the campaign to
eliminate the electoral system in favor of direct popular vote will
continue with or without our help. It's just going to take longer
without it, and i for one don't plan on living into the next century.
I would like to have a vote now. As it stands, all i have is a chad, a
hollow vapor-vote that the current pack of profiteers want to channel
into overpriced ballot shredders.

This puts a point on the real issue. It's this that i want you to talk
about amongst yourselves.

We all know that the Deibold Voting Kiosk debacle is an ongoing sham,
a National Embarassment of such unmittigated gaul that the rest of the
world actually sympathizes with the common American's plight. The
white-collar thugs of the reigning cleptocracy made no effort to hide
the ripe nepotism and clear conflict of interest in the contracts
foisted off on the public for these poorly constructed travesties.
They almost seem as if they were designed to rig elections. The
failure rates and specious results conspire with the lack of paper
trail and source code irregularities to point a full hand worth of
accusatory fingers at Deibold and it's proponants.

This indicates that someone wanted to fudge the popular count. Which
they did, to a lesser degree than required to obscure the fact that it
didn't make a difference.

2000 saw the electoral vote give an election to the loser, and we did
nothing. Noone mentioned the disparity in the count, Al Gore chose to
fight a losing battle in an unrelated arena, and we have inheirited
the whirlwind as a direct result.

Why? Why did Diebold fudge a meaningless count? Why did Gore
halfassedly contest Florida's count?

TO KEEP YOU CONVINCED OF IT'S RELEVANCE.

Look, you don't have to take it from me when i say the electoral
college is the number one reason that the aristocrats still rule us
like the voiceless serfs we are becoming again. You know they do. You
know that the founding fathers were landholders, New World Lords, you
know what their intent was. You vote for your cities' Mayor, right?
How about Judges? City Council? All direct popular votes, right?
Governor, State Legislature, Circuit Judges? All direct popular votes,
right?

Propositions, state bills, bond issues, all popular direct ratification, right?

How about the federal mirror of these municiple and State organs?
Supreme Court?

Appointed.

President?

Elected by people appointed by legislatures ACCORDING TO PARTY AFFILIATION.

Talk it over while your doing your holiday socializing. Ask others why
we don't have an actual vote.
