I presume you are aware of http://opensecrets.org and http://tray.com.
All contributions to a federal candidate over $200 are required to be
reported with name, employer and profession.  Contributions to PAC's are
not reported in the same manner and can hide donor source, but the PAC's
can only give up to $5000 per cycle.  It seems to me that the
information presented on Open Secrets make it readily apparent who some
of our elected representatives are working for.
