Hey Jimbo... doesn't the concepts behind Chad's diagram look familiar :-)
I am hoping that the league will be able to track all four elements you
mention by combining blogging (issues), social network (individuals) and
community tools (thereby adding the groups and events aspect.)
I will be doing a programmer lockin Oct 13-15 on open source tool
development for this NPO and others in Austin Texas.

Know anyone that would be interested in helping on development? Do you
think you could make it Chad? It sounds like you have a ton of
information to contribute and would be really interested in the project
scope and feature set I have been working on. I looked at your
information from 2004 and we have some seriously common ground. I have
to admit I am designing something a bit more complex :-) I guess
nothing we do is ever original since you conceptualized something
similar in 2004.
Jimbo and I had an insightful discussion about community in regards to
my design at SXSW this year. Hence the reason I am here. I am spying
for information we can incorporate and share in the true spirit of
transparency. I'm honestly one of those people that believes the more
transparent our governmental processes become - the more honest they
will be.
Cheers,
Silona
