[Campaigns-l] off-topic: international crime data

I figured I'd post to this list because it 'intersects with' politics
to an extent (the way I view it); but this is off-topic:

I'm looking for international crime data - ideally data collections
including compiled presentations of the data in concise, intelligible
charts, for instance a chart with columns being type(s) of crime, with
entries for every country the data exists for in a particluar year. In
looking thus far I've found various 'databases' but nothing either
current or yielding what I'm interested in. If that's non-existant, I
could create these views if I could find the data itself (in a
parsable format - text, csv, xml, if it's been collected in one
place).

I'm thinking this is a common interest and I've just not found it yet;
and would be very thankful for any input!

Thanks,
- Noel
