Length of Position: 6 Months, Ongoing

===Job Qualifications===
In short, we are seeking superheroes intent on changing the world by
empowering one citizen at a time. You must play well with others, no matter
what their political leanings. Must not be afraid of technology, and must
know how to sling the most basic HTML (or be willing to subject yourself to
a grueling 10-minute tutorial).

Must be capable of balancing 3 different finger foods on a flimsy paper
plate and a beverage all while not letting the person you're speaking with
know that your mouth is full. Must not faint in front of small crowds.

Must read newspapers and political blogs instinctively.

Must be self-motivated, creative, and interested in local politics.

We'll teach you the rest.

===Job Description===
State Moderators are responsible for creating/editing the State Home Pages
(e.g. Washington State Page) on More Perfect. Additionally, you will be
tasked with finding new and creative content, seeking out groups and
individuals who might be interested posting new issues on the More Perfect
site, and generally promoting the use of More Perfect to mere citizens.

You will spend time creating new content pages, monitoring and moderating
user edits, and thinking way too much about local politics, law and the
creation of policy.

===Why It's Worth It===
We are a new-concept web portal that seeks to involve every-day people in
the process of politics. You will be seen as a pillar of your community (OK,
maybe not right away), and have the ability to speak with authority and
impress your friends.

You will be able to call important people in your community and cause them
to believe that you are worth talking to.

Through all of this, you'll meet many interesting people involved in the
local political scene and increase your understanding of the inner-workings
of politics. We'll even write you a glowing letter of recommendation which
you can either burn or frame, depending upon your experience.

What are you waiting for? Apply now!

===How To Apply===
- Write us a clever 400-word email, explaining why you want the position
(just don't be too clever-by-half) and for which state.
-Email your resume to jobs at moreperfect.org

===Positions Available===
We are currently recruiting for all States. Larger States may have more than
one moderator.
