Step up and stick up an A4 page saying I am interested in this issue
Friend step up and say i think this different way.
Both stick up reference materials
Perhpas supporting both sides randomly, just information on the topic
then stick up a couple of proposals
And stick up a plan about how you are going to make something happen
which promotes or supports those ideas
Stick up an election card. and ask the audience to vote.
Stick up a card which documents the outcome, ie majority A or Majority B

Velcro backed laminated a4 sheets or similar would work
You could do that inside a powerpoint presentation but it would be
more 'real' if it was two people scrambling about with information.
