If possible, I might just code a debugging flag that does not deleted then
in the case of a failed upload, and then if I can figure it out, a manual
upload mode that tries uploading them for a second time, this way I can
manually check to see if its really a broken arcfile, or if the arcfile is
fine and the server is getting it wrong somewhere.
Does this sound ok?

I replies to your question in my issue aswell, but it was ONLY 401s on my
home PC (the origional computer with the issue) and I get SOME 401s on my
laptop.
