[Search-l] Tagging as a reverse search

Hello all,

I figured since we're doing announcements, I'd join in :-)

I've made a bunch of headway and have my hosted tagging service running at
http://tagthis.info. I plan to release the code under the affero license,
and haven't decided on a license for the content yet.

What this is, is a service where you can add tags to any website, but the
data is kept on a central server. I feel that tags are really search
results, in reverse (the tag is the keyword, and the url is the result) and
that aggregating tag information could help generate relevant search
results. This is also a very bare-bones social bookmarking service, but my
focus is primarily on the "hosted tagging" functionality, with a long term
goal of creating a network of servers (all with free license for the
software and content) and using the data to generate relevant search
results.

Right now, it's just me, but if anyone else is interested in this, I'd love
to hear from them.

Best Regards,
Aerik
