[Search-l] question and a potential request

I sent an email to the group a few days ago. I thought nothing of not
receiving an email copy.

Today I went to respond to my own email and discovered the original had
been sent in html and the content had been stripped out. The content is
available as an added click online but might possibly be the reason for
my not receiving a copy. (I just checked, my preferences had been set to
receive a copy.)

So the question is - is this the reason I, and presumably others, did
not receive a copy? If yes, I will make a plain text copy and repost it.
I will also try to pay more attention to details in the future.

My request is to the folks that manage the email software - if the above
supposition is correct - when and if an unacceptably formatted (or
otherwise judged unacceptable) email is received then return it to the
sender with a link to a page detailing acceptable formats and content.

This is not a complaint but rather an attempt to be helpful.

(And a test to see if I receive a copy of this _plain text_ email.)

Bill
