Thanks, i see that there are actually two different logins (they should be
better distinguished, don't know what 'social bit' means). Wiki login seems
to work now but search still doesn`t. Tried with IE, no luck either, i only
get empty search results (i.e. the page loads but there are 0 results
displayed). JavaScript is on.

I seem to be not the only one having this problem:
http://search.wikia.com/index.php?title=Forum:Link_to_proper_login_for_editing_%28not_alpha%29&t=20080210094922
I don't want to be offensive and i hope the following is seen as
constructive criticism. I do think that if the site should be successful
(and i strongly hope it will be!) it ought to get some mayor cleanup, and
above all, the search has to work. What i see now looks confusing to me.
There are various wikis (everybody can start a new one, what purpose is
this for?), there are forums, there are mini-articles and categories (but
there's no link there). Where's the hub for all this, and what are all
those facilities for? Where am i supposed to post my ideas and concerns
like this one, as i feel this is might be OT in the developers mailing list.
As another example, i'm even not sure where i should write a reply if i get
contacted by a user via my user talk wiki page. Is the other user going to
read y reply on my own page or am i supposed to post on that users page?
Too many possibilities, too little giudance and certainty, i feel.
