[Search-l] Which does the figure next to each URL mean?

One of the things in my review for tomorrow morning is the scoring - if 
a result has a higher score, shouldn't it appear first? Also, I am 
hesitant to want to link to nutch - does any mainstream user really care 
about the fact that 2 pi = radius r²? They just want the best results. 
Is this something that will be removed (or de-emphasized) on full launch?
