[Search-l] [SearchWikia] microformat and dataportability initiative

It points out the importance of the microformat and moreover the portability
of data generated by web application, especially for personal data. For
example, what about using APML for encoding SearchWikia user's interests
(keeping in mind that the user is int control). The aim is to make the
engine more open to any extension and to allow the development of
plugin/mashup by the community. This is one of the main mistakes of many
commercial search engine : keep data closed to save their business. But
SearchWikia should not have this attitude and thus be much more involve in
this kind of initiative (ie data portability).

What do you think about ? How can SearchWikia join the dataportability
program ? Can I help to convert some data in Search Wikia into some portable
format (FOAF, APML, OPML, RSS... )
