I'm not sure that face recognition is the good feature to add for now. The
first step is to add indexation by content for media (image and more) and
then using some tricks, face recognition (and more generally object
recognition) could be used.

There is plenty ways to implement image indexing (lot of feature extraction
components exists and Lucene adaptation to image indexing too).
