[Search-l] why is Wikia's the only frontend? [Was: wrong questions]

It could be that in a certain sense there already is another front
end using ISC's backend:

Nutch's apparently default search interface is a classic search
engine form and renders the result page's HTML on the server
(result URL is "search.jsp", JPSs get rendered on the server).

In contrast to the Wikia Search front end, it works even when
Javascript is disabled in the browser.
That alone is a good reason to make this an official alternative
interface for ISC's backend.

The above URL and Wikia Search (http://alpha.search.wikia.com/)
return slightly different hits.  Aren't they using the same index?
