The meanings are actually related, and intentionally so.
In Biology, strobili are ''areas where new structure grows'',
for example in plants or coral.
Oshani wants to apply this idea to knowledge. His "Strobili" are areas
where new structure of knowledge grows. Apparently, to grow this
structure, a Strobili "application" is supposed to watch which links are
being followed and somehow make use of this information.
An interesting idea, although the pages need a lot of work.
They are hard to make sense of, in much need of examples, and the reader
has now way of knowing whether she has correctly understood.
What's more, it would not surprise me if this idea had not already been
developed elsewhere, under a different name.

That does not mean that there is no value in it.

I agree that it should not live in the mini space.

Why not? Oshani's "Strobili" is an idea about how to structure
knowledge to make it easier to search and navigate. Thus the pages are
at least in part about search, which makes them suitable for the main,
or rather the ''search:'' namespace.

I vote to keep the pages, for now.

Disambiguate. Link to wp:Strobili and Category:Strobili. Make it clear
that Category:Strobili is original research.
