I'm replying to your suggestions separately. Here is an
explanation for what my replies mean.

We can't let this get too cumbersome, so I want to adopt a
convention for discussing the titles. Please be fairly brutal
about pruning text from any message you reply to.

I like Santhalus's style for proposing changes, but it would be
a bit easier for me if the tip number were retained in proposed
new titles.

So here is a suggested procedure:

You post something like this (first line is current title,
second is my new title, third is your new title):

385 Some java & vim tips
385 Some java tips
--> 385 Some Java tips
# Put any comment you want here.

In my reply, I will delete your comments (I'll note the
comments, but this will get out of control if we debate each
tip). I might add some comments of my own. You should delete
them (unless you really want to reply to the comment).

I will replace the '-->' with 'OK' or 'NO':
OK = I agree and will upload the new name to the list soon.
NO = I decline at the moment. Let's discuss.

If you don't agree with my 'NO', please post again.

Or, I might want a variation on your title, in which case I will
retain your '-->' and add 'OK' with my version of your title,
like this:

945 Range of current c/c PLUS PLUS /java function
945 Range of current C/Cpp/Java function
--> 945 Run vim command on current C/Cpp/Java function
OK 945 Run Vim command on current C/Cpp/Java function

Or, I might be unsure, in which case I will change your '-->' to
'??' and add a comment.

If I've put 'OK', the new title should be uploaded within a
couple of hours. If there is no 'OK', I will _not_ upload the
proposed title, so complain if you disagree.

Please send another message if you want to undo an 'OK', or if
you think a title should be 'OK'.

EXCEPTION: I'm currently getting an error when I attempt to
access the wiki, so I won't upload the 'OK' titles for a while.
The message includes:
    The following error was encountered:
    * Access Denied.
