I have checked that there are only a couple of links to tips by
their title in the current imported tips, and I'll fix them.
It's true that there could be links from the outside to old
titles - that of course is why wikia keeps the old page but
changes it to a redirect when a page is moved. However, our wiki
has not been around for very long, and many of the titles we are
fixing are totally broken, so I think we could ignore the
possibility that some external links may be invalidated by
deleting the old titles.
Normally, a couple of pages might be moved to new titles in a
week, so it's sensible for the wiki to keep the old page. I was
genuinely wondering when I first wrote about this, but now I'm
firming to the view that it would be silly for us to keep 578
almost-certainly useless redirect pages.
Problem is, I think the bot would need sysop privilege to delete
the pages. I don't understand who assigns sysop privilege, or
why.
