And in case anyone doesn't know how, you simply need to type four
tildes (~~~~) for a signature with timestamp.

3 of them will sign without the timestamp. 5 will add just the timestamp.

You can change your nickname or signature formatting in your
preferences at http://vim.wikia.com/wiki/Special:Preferences

There's also a shortcut button on the editing toolbar which you can
click for the same effect. It looks like this:
