That was a nice comment you added to the tip. Now we've got a case where
a user created a talk page for a tip (to say "good"), and the user got a
welcome!

I tweaked the welcome message so it will show
Hi, welcome to the Vim Tips wiki!
instead of
Hi, welcome to Vim Tips Wiki!

Is there a reason for the ':' in the message:
Thanks for your edit to the [[:$1]] page

Re the anonymous user greetings, I think it would look a bit strange for
a user to find any sort of welcome on a page with a "delete" box.
However, the forum page has been updated with a new setting:

MediaWiki:Welcome-enabled
  default: "page-user message-anon message-user"
page-user creates user page for logged-in contributors
message-anon adds welcome messages for anon users
message-user adds welcome messages for logged-in users

So we could change it to "page-user message-user" so anonymous users are
NOT welcomed.

I'm happy to let it run for a couple of weeks and decide later.

John
