If you just want to use plain monobook, unchecking "See custom wikis"
on the skin-tab in Special:Preferences should probably work..  The
standard monobook CSS file you can find at
http://images.wikia.com/common/skins/monobook/main.css?20071123145454
- or the wikipedia one:
http://en.wikipedia.org/skins-1.5/monobook/main.css (doubt there's any
difference tho, but i haven't read through them both)..
