[Wikia-l] auto insert template

Hi all,

We've been using the auto insert feature on Muppet Wiki as a way to
easily insert commonly used templates. I've been playing around with
the code, and trying to find examples of how others are doing this on
other wikis, but I haven't had any luck with modifying it to something
more practical for longer templates.

The example image linked above illustrates how I'd like it to work.
What's shown in the edit field is the output, but I only want to see
the template name in the area below the Save buttons.

Has anyone had any luck with this?
